Maldivian delegation’s visit gives confidence, says Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

He made the statement to RaajjeTV, during a special banquet held for the delegation at his official residence -Temple Tree- on Saturday night.

While the high-level Maldivian delegation is on a three-day visit to the neighboring, to show solidarity following the Easter bombing attack, PM Ranil said that this “is a brilliant strategy.”

“It’s a brilliant strategy by the Maldivian parliament and the speaker, former President [Mohamed] Nasheed, to come here and to show confidence in Sri Lanka. You all are people who live in Sri Lanka, who deal with Sri Lanka, who are as much a Sri Lankan as I am. So, when you come in numbers, it gives us confidence, it gives the world confidence”
PM Ranil
