NRSC
Hope NRSC is able to compete this football season, says former captain

RaajjeMV understands that NRSC is trying to reach a deal with the players that filed the complaint

It has to pay over MVR 3.8 million in unpaid salaries

NRSC is currently under suspension over unpaid salaries

Former national team goalkeeper Imran “Imma” Mohamed says that he hopes to see New Radiant Sports Club (NRSC) in this year’s football season.

NRSC is currently under suspension over unpaid salaries, and can only compete after settling the matter.

In a Facebook post, Imran said he stands with his former club in their work to overcome the current situation so as to compete in the football season.

He further called on all football lovers to support the club.

NRSC was suspended in January this year, and 11 out of 13 clubs voted to uphold the suspension at the Football Association of Maldives (FAM)’s congress in March.

The club has to pay over MVR 3.8 million in unpaid salaries to their players, for the period between August last year, and March 2019.

While the football season will commence next month, RaajjeMV understands that NRSC is trying to reach a deal with the players that filed the complaint. There are reports that the club is seeking to get the complaints withdrawn.

Despite the issue, NRSC is in discussion with coach Mohamed ‘Nizambe’ Nizam, with sources saying that it will not start preparations “unless there is hope.”
