Can Vanli appointed as Football Association's new technical director
FAM has appointed the VB Addu Sports Club’s renowned former coach, Can Vanli, as its new Technical Director.

The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has appointed the VB Addu Sports Club’s renowned former coach, Can Vanli, as its new Technical Director.
The German-Turkish national was officially given the position at an event held in the FAM’s head offices in Malé City.
At the event, FAM’s president, Bassam Adeel Jaleel said that the association had attempted to bring a foreign technical director in order galvanize its operation.
Vanli said at the signing that he has been assigned tasks to be completed within a restricted amount of time, and that he would do his best to accomplish them.
Jaleel, who was confident in Vanli’s capability, said that the new technical director is charged with grass-roots development of the entire organization and working with other clubs in the country.
Under Vanli’s coaching, the VB Sports Club had won the Maldives Championship in 2010 and 2011.
