Ghanaian defender, Daniel Mills Pappoe has arrived in Maldives to join New Radiant Sports Club.

He was welcomed by senior officials of the club at Velana International Airport.

The 23-year-old esd featured for the Chelsea reserves during the 2009-10 season while still studying at school, and was an important member of the FA Youth Cup-winning squad of 2010, though he missed the final through injury.

He was last with Crawley Town, as a defender.

In 2013, Pappoe represented Ghana Under-20 in the four-team Valais Youth Cup. He played in games versus Kosovo (in their first FIFA recognised match) and Brazil, and was initially named in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup squad, but was later replaced with Israel-based Baba Mensah.

New Radiant Sports Club, and all other local clubs have been working on strengthening their squads, as the 2017 football season is to kick off in February.
