Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is to host a special seminar targeting to promoting local guesthouses.
RaajjeMV understands that the seminar will be held on 20 April, upcoming Saturday.
Speaking to press on Thursday, MMPRC’s Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed revealed that the seminar will focus on teaching marketing strategies to local guesthouses and educating them on utilizing social media to market their services. This workshop will help guesthouses to make decisions to formulate marketing campaigns through social media and other means with their informative approaches to marketing.
The seminar will be conducted in cooperation with Corporate Maldives, revealed Thoyyib.
“Basic marketing will be taught in the seminar. Different approaches on marketing their work and services. These will be outsourced to Corporate Maldives” said MMPRC’s MD.
Highlighting that the seminar will be well-organized and efficient, Thoyyib further revealed that two foreign parties will be participating in the information sessions, which are to be held for free.
Also during the press conference, Thoyyib added that he is very satisfied with MMPRC’s proceedings now, going on to shed light on the two pledges tasked to the company among President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s first-100-day pledges.
The two pledges are to assemble a plan to enhance marketing tourism and to conduct workshops which the company has successfully completed.
MMPRC has also begun marketing Maldives in South Africa and India.
While it hosted a series of marketing events including a roadshow in multiple cities targeting a wider audience to “maximize” Maldives brand exposure in Africa in early April, MMPRC this week begun work to market Maldives tourism in neighboring India as well.
