The Gender Ministry revealed their statistics for February
The Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services received a total of 105 cases of violence against children in February.
This amount makes up for 49 percent of all cases filed with the ministry last month; of the 105 cases, most have to do with negligence.
The 105 cases make up 49 percent of all cases reported to the Gender Ministry
26 cases of physical violence and 22 cases of sexual violence were reported last month. A number of cases where a child was denied access to education has been reported as well.
The ministry’s statistics show that 25 cases of gender-based violence and 30 cases of abuse against elderly citizens were reported in February as well.
