An assault has left two injured in capital city Malé, Maldives Police Service has revealed.

MPS media official revealed that the assault took place inside a storage unit in Galolhu-ward of the capital city.

Injured were a 38-year-old Maldivian and a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man who is reportedly working in a shop in the district.

Police further revealed that the two are receiving treatment at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and that they had not attained any serious injuries due to the assault.

Further, the Maldivian man has been arrested in regards to the assault, revealed the media official.
