The Maldivian government is still in talks with Singapore's Chang Hua Construction, to move the development project 'Coral Boulevard' to the capital's reclaimed suburb Hulhumalé.
Revealing this, housing ministry's deputy minister Mohamed Azim said that they have discussed the matter with the Singaporean company 'twice,' and that the first was to reopen the road closed off in Malé City, for the project.
He added that they are currently discussing on a location for the Coral Boulevard in Hulhumalé, with both Chang Hua Construction and Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Further noting that the company 'supports the decision,' Azim said that there are certain details to be considered before moving the project.
He also assured that everything will be sorted out 'soon.'
The Coral Boulevard project, which is to comprise of four 25-storey towers, was launched by the previous administration in July 2018 as part of its 'redevelopment plan of the capital city.'
