Two local printing companies meet the criteria to print ballot papers for the upcoming People’s Majlis election, the Elections Commission has said.
The commission said on Saturday that M7 Print and Novelty Printers meet their criteria; both companies have printed ballot papers for the commission in past elections.
The ballot printing project is open to public tender, and the commission is receiving proposals until March 10th.
M7 Print printed ballot papers for last year’s presidential elections, and was accused by the losing party of being an accomplice in a conspiracy to rig the vote.
The company denied the charges, and even had to file a case with the police after their employees received ‘offers’ to testify against the company.
