A pregnant woman has been injured in an accident while crossing the road in Hulhumale’.
She suffered a head injury due to the accident.
Hulhumale’ Hospital confirmed that they are treating a 31-year-old over an accident, but did not reveal the extent of her injuries.
The police service has also confirmed that they are investigating such a case.
This is similar to an accident in February, when a woman suffered a head injury after a car hit her while walking along the zebra crossing near Senahiya Hospital.
The driver has since had his taxi driver license revoked and his driver’s license suspended for two years.
