The police service is accepting public comments on a draft of its Criminal Procedure Regulation.
Acting police commissioner Mohamed Hameed invited public comments in a tweet on Friday night.
In the tweet, Hameed said that the regulation governs the police service’s operational policing system that provides tool, activities, and decision-making for preventing and detecting crime.
He also provided a link where the public could comment.

The Criminal Procedure Regulation dictates how police officers should conduct themselves when investigating and submitting cases, conducting searches, and arresting and detaining suspects.
This second draft is likely to change according to the public comments.
