Maldives Tourism Club (MTC) has held it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday night.

The meeting held to inaugurate their third tenure, was joined by Minister of Tourism Ali Waheed.

At the Annual General Meeting, members had reviewed their guidelines and passed new clauses and guidelines to which amendments had been brought.

The club had also appointed a President, Vice President and General Secretary at the AGM.

IT is notable that women were appointed to senior positions of the MTC.

Minister Waheed stated that the purpose of the club is to bring new players to the spotlight, to take part in tournaments and that it is an opportunity for all players.

Highlighting that they are not just after the win, Minister Waheed stated that the club’s motive is also to compete in tournaments with motivation.

In addition, Minister Waheed stated that MTC will be one that is prove to be ideal for other clubs.

The club was formed with the efforts to Ministry employees, said Minister Waheed.

Appreciation plaques were also conferred to all those who had provided assistance and support to the club at their AGM.
