Speedboat ferry service between Fuvahmulah and Faresmaathodaa has begun.

Vice President Faisal Naseem inaugurated the service at a ceremony on Friday.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President said that students, fishermen, businessmen, tourists, and the public will benefit from the ferry system.

Also at the ceremony, Maldives Ports Limited CEO Shahid Ali said that the ferry service will be open two days per week and that they will expand the service based on demend.
