White alert issued for Kaafu and Laamu atolls

The Maldives Meteorological Services (MET Office) has released a white alert for islands between central Kaafu and southern Laamu atolls.

The MET Office announced this through a post on Twitter on Friday; the alert stands from 9:15am to 3:00pm.

There have been increasing reports of turbulent weather in the central atolls, with the MET Office having issued a white alert warning on Wednesday as well, for islands in Kaafu and Meemu atolls.
