IGMH opens National Center for Respiratory Medicine

Opening ceremony of The National Center for Respiratory Medicine
Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has opened a center for respiratory medicine.
The National Center for Respiratory Medicine was inaugurated at Sunday’s ceremony by Dr. Abdul Azeez Yoosuf , the Chairperson of the IGMH Group of Hospitals’ Governing Board.
In his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Azeez said that the center is divided into units that provide consultation, rehabilitation, and testing. He said that operations will also be performed and that the center has a special unit for respiratory failures and a sleep lab for patients with disorders that occur during sleep.
Highlighting that reducing cases of respiratory diseases is as important as treating them, Dr. Azeez said that the center also provides treatment for people addicted to smoking in order to help prevent the number one cause of respiratory diseases.
He highlighted that all services are covered by Aasandha insurance.
