Two appointments have been made to state broadcaster, Public Service Media (PSM).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced the appointments via twitter on Sunday.
PCB appointed Ibrahim Hilmy as the Chairman of PSM and popular TV host Mariyam Waheeda as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of PSM.

Hilmy served as Vice Chairman of the first board of PSM and Waheeda currently serves as Chancellor at the Maldives National University (MNU). She also hosted many television shows throughout the years she worked in Television Maldives (TVM). She also served as a board member of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC) during Former President Mohamed Nasheed's administration.
With these appointments, PSM currently consists of Chairman Hilmy, Managing Director Ali Khalid, Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Shameem and board member Waheeda.
