Workers have completed laying the structural concrete for the King Salman Mosque.
Housing minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu confirmed this in a tweet on Monday.
In the tweet, Dr. Muizzu highlighted that the mosque construction is a project of President Abdulla Yameen and requested that the new administration will oversee its progress.

King Salman Mosque is a six-story structure named after the king of Saudi Arabia and funded by the Gulf Kingdom.
Once built, King Salman Mosque would become Maldives’ larges mosque, capable of accommodating 6,000 worshippers. It will consist of a library, a center for Holy Quran, multi-purpose halls, classrooms and meeting rooms.
