Reports have surfaced that the Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al- Saud will fly into Male’ from the resort by his special helicopter, on his trip to the Maldives.

Raajje.mv understands that the change comes after the official jetty was transformed so that cars can enter the jetty. It had also been reported that the monarch’s trip has been extended by two days, which he will spend in the Maldives.

For his visit, three five-star resorts have been booked for the 13-day visit, which will be held at the end of this month. During this period all staff of the three resorts will be barred from leaving the islands. The monarch’s entourage amounts to 1500 people, along with 10 Ministers, 25 Princes and at least 100 security officers.

Additionally, he will bring in his personal plane, five airplanes and a special helicopter.

Washington Post reports that in his ongoing trip to Indonesia, 506 tons of luggage was brought in, including two Mercedes Benz limousines and two lifts.
