Rumors have emerged that President Yameen’s legal affairs minister Azima Shukoor had submitted such a case

High Court has stated that it has not received any election-related case.

The court said this after reports emerged that President Abdulla Yameen’s legal affairs minister Azima Shukoor had submitted such a case.

According to the regulations, election-related cases are to be submitted to the High Court and Supreme Court.

The reports indicate that ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), which is controlled by the incumbent president, is attempting to nullify the presidential election’s result after the his decisive loss against opponent Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
