Opposition presidential candidate's running mate, Faisal Naseem has said government officials are 'out of their minds' if they think they can keep playing with the people's minds.
Speaking at an opposition rally in Meedhoo island of Dhaalu atoll on Monday night, Naseem claimed that some government officials are trying to 'get into people's minds' using a 'certain' thing, adding that fabricated stories are being spread to do so.
However, he emphasized that the country's leader 'must always speak the truth to the people'.
Noting that giving this administration another chance will not improve the country's situation, Naseem said that 'we have to say no to this government to maintain the country's independence and sovereignty'.
Further noting that this government continues to suspend councilors 'with different beliefs to theirs', the opposition's running mate assured that they, if elected 'will strengthen role of councilors'.
While the elections are a little over a month away, Naseem highlighted that the current administration's tyranny and corruption needs to be stopped.
