Milandhoo island council's deputy said that students have been asked to return the tablets

Milandhoo School has asked its students to return the tablets given to them as part of the government's programme to digitize schools.

The island's deputy chief councilor Ahmed Siyam told RaajjeMV that the students have been asked to return the tablets given to them on July 1, adding that this is being done on Thursday.

While Siyam highlighted that the reason for this is 'unclear', some parents have confirmed the matter as well.

One of the parents shared a message from the school with RaajjeMV, which told them to handover the tablets to teachers, and to ensure that all products in the box are there when doing so.

When reached for a comment, Milandhoo School said to submit the question via writing.

While the Education Ministry claimed that all students across Maldives will be given tablets prior to the commencement of the second term, RaajjeMV understands that it has failed to do so.
