Employee at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital suspended amid social media posts supporting opposition
An official from the hospital confirmed his suspension to RaajjeMV, said notice was given was on Tuesday

The Ministry of Health has suspended an employee at Addu City’s Hithadhoo Regional Hospital amid social media posts supporting opposition leader, former President Mohamed Nasheed.

The employee in question, Mohamed Mueen has worked at the hospitals’ administrative department for the past seven years and recently posted in support of former president from his personal social media account.

An official from the hospital confirmed Mueen’s suspension to RaajjeMV.

Noting that he was given the notice on Tuesday, the official added that the reason for the suspension has not been disclosed.

While he has been asked to stay home from work, health ministry’s state minister Dr. Mohamed Habeeb is currently in Addu City.
