Elections Commission to hire 70 individuals to train elections monitors

The Elections Commission has announced that they are looking for individuals who can train monitors for the upcoming presidential elections.

The commission said on Saturday that they will hire a total of 70 trainers. They will conduct programs from August 11th to 17th. Programs to train other officials wil be held from August 25th to September 1st.

The commission is also accepting individuals with no prior background and will provide coaching to train other election officials.

Trainers are to receive a daily allowance of MVR 700 per day while trained election officials are to receive 200 per day.

Interested individuals can submit applications for this position by 14th June, at 2:00pm. The presidential elections are slated for later his year.
