Maldives police officer dies during training course

The officer\'s body was brought to the capital late Sunday night
A police officer has passed away during a training course in Vaanee island of Dhaalu atoll, after falling ill.
Police’s spokesperson, Ahmed Shifan, said that the officer, who was taking part in the basic training course in Vaanee island, succumbed while being transferred to capital Malé City for further treatment, after being treated in Kudahuvadhoo island of the same atoll.
His body was brought to Malé late Sunday night, added Shifan.
While police is yet to share any further details, the spokesperson said that ‘additional information will be shared later’.
