Ali Hassan said his house was attacked because of an argument he had with an individual

The owner of a home razed in an arson attack last Sunday is offering a cash reward for anyone who can provide eye witness accounts or legitimate information on the incident.

Ali Hassan, in a post on his Facebook account, provides some context into what he believes the motive behind the attack that destroyed his home in its entirety were.

The Alifushi resident explains how the attack was the result of a disagreement he had with an individual earlier this week, on New Year’s Eve.

In his post, Ali Hassan sardonically calls the attack an ‘expensive gift’ and said he hopes the individual, and their accessories, are ‘wholeheartedly content’ with the result of their actions.

Ali Hassan is offering MVR 20,000 (USD 1,299) for information on the arson, which was reported to the police as the house burned at about 3:00 am on Monday, 1st January.
