Maldives has inched up two rankings on FIFA global rankings for 2017.

Maldives at the end of 2017 is placed on the 155^th position. India is the leading nation in the rankings for the Asia region, with rivals Pakistan scoring the lowest. India was placed at 105^th, while Pakistan was at 201^st. Afghanistan ranked 184^th, Nepal at 171th and Bhutan ranked at 187^th position. Bangladesh ranked 197^th while Sri Lanka ranked above Pakistan.

Germany leads the rankings with 1602 points, with Brazil and Portugal ranking second and third respectively.

Top ten of the rankings remain unchanged from the previous year.
