The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has confirmed that it is investigating the death of a Maldivian in Bangladesh.
Police are investigating the death of 50-year-old man who goes by the name ‘Fahumee’, from Maradhoo Feydhoo of southernmost Addu City.
Reports on social media speculate that the man had been murdered. However, the MPS said in a press conference on Tuesday evening that the circumstances surrounding Fahumee’s death is yet uncertain.
Officers had not revealed any further information about the matter.
