The Ras Male' project is a criminal scheme orchestrated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to secure illicit funds through "kickbacks" to finance his 2028 re-election campaign, Kendhoo MP Mauroof Zakir has alleged.
Speaking at an emergency rally titled "Dhivehinge Bin Dhivehinnah" on Friday night, MP Mauroof launched a scathing critique of President Muizzu. He asserted that prior to his presidency, while residing at "Dhimyaath," no Maldivian citizen had sought him out or requested him to lead the country due to a lack of leadership options.
In this regard, MP Mauroof stated that President Muizzu contested the election of his own accord and assumed office by making numerous promises to the Maldivian people. However, as the administration approaches its third year, Mauroof asserted that it has become evident that President Muizzu does not truly care for the citizens.
How many lies have the people been told so far? In every presidential address and every time he stands before a microphone—even while facing the national flag—he has claimed that citizens would no longer have to beg for medical treatment, that housing would be provided, and that no one would have to live in hardship.
