Chef Maha Naseer showcases Maldivian flavors at Tuna Gala in Bangladesh

Attended by high-level officials from both countries, the gala served as a platform to discuss strengthening bilateral trade ties and expanding the export of Maldivian tuna products to the Bangladeshi market.

Renowned Maldivian chef Maha Naseer showcased the country’s rich culinary heritage at "The Great Tuna Gala" in Dhaka, Bangladesh, featuring a live demonstration of signature dishes prepared using premium Maldivian tuna.
The event, titled "The Great Tuna Gala – Flavors from the Sunny Side," was held to promote the Maldives and further strengthen trade and tourism ties between the two nations. Organized by the High Commission of Maldives in Bangladesh, the special gala took place at the Sheraton Dhaka.
The Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, attended the ceremony as the guest of honor. The event was also attended by approximately 250 guests, including senior government officials, diplomats, and prominent business leaders.

Speaking at the ceremony, the High Commissioner of Maldives to Bangladesh, Shiuneen Rasheed, highlighted the Maldives' sustainable pole-and-line fishing practices and emphasized the importance of expanding Maldivian fish products within the Bangladeshi market. In his remarks, Bangladesh’s Minister Millat called for further strengthening of bilateral ties and urged closer cooperation between the two nations in the fisheries and tourism sectors.
