The Teachers' Association of Maldives has expressed concern over the Ministry of Education's failure to take any initiative in organizing celebrations for Teachers' Day.
In a social media post, the association stated that the Ministry's official platforms have failed to provide space to recognize, at a national level, the invaluable contributions of the nation's hardworking educators who play the most pivotal role in shaping the country's future.
The Teachers' Association has noted that while schools across the country vibrantly celebrated and honored their beloved educators, the Ministry of Education has remained silent, failing to take any national initiative to mark this proud occasion. The association expressed that this lack of recognition is a deeply disheartening reality that must be acknowledged.
The statement further noted that the Ministry's failure to provide a platform for national recognition has caused profound disillusionment among these dedicated professionals.
