The Majority Leader of the People’s Majlis, Ibrahim Falah, has stated that the public is content as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has remained true to his word, successfully fulfilling a significant percentage of his pledges to the letter.
Speaking in support of the resolution to grant President Muizzu the People’s National Congress (PNC) ticket for the 2028 presidential election, Falah stated that the public voted for Muizzu with the best intentions. He further emphasized that citizens now recognize that electing him was the most prudent decision for the nation.
In 2023, despite the People's National Congress (PNC) being a minor party at the time, the public accepted their candidate as the most capable individual to lead the nation.
The Maldivian people are celebrating today. The primary reason for this joy is the collective realization that the vote they cast was a wise and sound decision, based on the right vision for the nation. The public remains highly satisfied as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, now three years into his leadership, has remained true to the aspirations of the people. Rather than letting his pledges go unfulfilled, he has worked diligently to honor them precisely, successfully delivering a significant majority of his promises to date.Ibrahim Falah
Furthermore, while supporting the resolution to grant President Muizzu the PNC presidential ticket for 2028, Falah noted that the 73 government-aligned members in Parliament represent 73 out of the country's 93 constituencies. He emphasized that this represents approximately 80 percent of the total population of the Maldives.

Furthermore, Fallah stated that the resolution introduced on Thursday carries the overwhelming support of the constituents represented by 73 members of Parliament. He added that these members and the public wholeheartedly endorse the decision, expressing their profound desire to grant the 2028 PNC presidential ticket to the party’s president, Dr. Muizzu.
Despite Falah’s assertions that President Muizzu is fulfilling his pledges, the administration is facing mounting public criticism as projects remain stalled and promises go unkept. Not only have new pledges failed to materialize, but numerous projects initiated by the previous government have also come to a standstill. Furthermore, several sites where foundation stones were laid to mark various occasions remain abandoned and overgrown with wilderness, with no practical work in sight. Consequently, the government is under fire from many who accuse the administration of fostering a culture of dishonesty and misleading the public instead of delivering on its commitments.
