Hulhumalé Hospital has faced widespread public criticism following the placement of a private company's advertisement outside the hospital's CT scan room.
Photos have been circulating on social media showing an advertisement for a private company displayed outside the CT scan room at Hulhumalé Hospital. Member of Parliament for the North Galolhu constituency, Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu), also addressed the matter in a post on X.
He emphasized that healthcare facilities must remain safe environments dedicated to patient care and recovery. MP Ibrahim further stated that these centers should not serve as platforms for promoting private advertisements.
In response to this development, a member of the public has questioned the exact amount of revenue Hulhumalé Hospital generates through such advertisements. The move has also drawn widespread criticism from many others.
