Man arrested under a court order on suspicion of committing theft at Hulhumale' Hospital
Police have arrested a 40-year-old Maldivian man under a court order following a series of thefts at Hulhumale' Hospital. During a search of his residence, authorities recovered a significant cache of suspected stolen electronic equipment, including computer systems and printers. The court has since remanded the suspect in custody for seven days as the investigation continues.

A man has been arrested under a court order on suspicion of committing theft at Hulhumale' Hospital.
Police stated that a case involving a series of thefts from Hulhumale' Hospital over several days was reported on March 22, 2026.
Police confirmed that Hussain Shiham, 40, of Ma. Vinares, Male’, was arrested under a court order on March 29 in connection with the case. According to the police, a search of his apartment following the arrest led to the discovery of items believed to have been stolen from Hulhumale' Hospital.
The items include computer systems, printers, and various other electronic equipment.
Police further stated that when the individual was produced before the court to determine their remand status, the court ordered them to be detained for a period of seven days.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
