The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on anti-corruption efforts and the promotion of integrity.
The agreement was signed by the President of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Adam Shamil, on behalf of the commission. Managing Director Dr. Ali Azwar signed the document on behalf of STELCO.
According to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the primary objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to identify and strengthen collaborative efforts between both parties to prevent corruption and promote integrity.
Furthermore, the memorandum includes provisions for mutual participation in staff training programs and collaborative efforts to implement the Commission's advice and guidance on anti-corruption measures.
Under this Memorandum of Understanding, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for workshops and seminars aimed at enhancing the integrity of STELCO employees.
Under the terms of the agreement, STELCO’s responsibilities include the timely provision of documents and information required for investigations conducted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), as well as ensuring full cooperation in facilitating the attendance of employees for investigative proceedings.
Furthermore, STELCO has decided to establish anti-corruption policies and prioritize the advice and guidance of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to mitigate corruption risks when formulating company policies.
Under this Memorandum of Understanding, both parties will engage in the exchange of technical expertise and the sharing of resources for collaborative initiatives.
