The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has initiated a specialized survey to evaluate how much money citizens are spending while traveling outside the country.
As outlined in an official statement published by the central bank on Saturday, data collection is scheduled to take place between July 25 and July 31 inside the arrival terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA).
The central bank explained that the initiative is structured to gather specific details regarding travel motivations, destinations visited, airfare costs, healthcare expenditures, and overall financial outlays made throughout the duration of foreign trips.
