Traffic flow around Social Centre area to be diverted for official Independence Day ceremony

The Maldives Police Service has announced that traffic flow in the area surrounding the Social Centre will be diverted for the official ceremony marking the Maldives' 61st Independence Day, scheduled for July 26.
The Maldives Police Service has requested the removal of all vehicles parked in the red-marked zones on the map shared via X, which include Kanba Aisa Rani Hingun, Majeedhee Magu, and Irama Magu. Furthermore, police announced that traffic flow around the Social Centre area will be diverted starting from 6:00 AM on July 26 until the conclusion of the scheduled festivities, as indicated in the published map.
The police service stated that these changes were implemented to ensure the security and seamless organization of the official ceremony.
The Maldives Police Service expressed its gratitude to the public for their continued cooperation in such matters. The service also apologized for any inconvenience these changes may cause to the public's daily commute and general travel.
