Special envoy of Saudi Crown Prince arrives in Maldives to attend Independence Day celebrations
25 ޖުލައި 2026 | ހޮނިހިރު 11:20Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib, the Special Envoy of the Saudi Crown Prince, has arrived in the Maldives to participate in the nation's 61st Independence Day celebrations. Visiting at the official invitation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Special Envoy is scheduled to attend the commemorative festivities at Republic Square, including the traditional cultural displays and the ceremonial float parade.

A special envoy of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, has arrived in the Maldives to grace the celebrations of the 61st Independence Day.
According to the President's Office, the visiting dignitary is Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Member of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia.
He arrived in the Maldives on Friday night. Upon his arrival at Velana International Airport, he was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer and the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations, Mohamed Naseer.
The President's Office stated that the visit is being undertaken at the invitation of President Muizzu, extended through Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
In line with annual Independence Day celebrations, a special display of sporting events and performances will be held at Republic Square this Sunday evening. The festivities will also feature a parade of floats organized by various government institutions.
