No Progress on Kulhudhuffushi TVET Center After Groundbreaking
Residents of Kulhudhuffushi City are raising significant concerns over the stalled construction of the local TVET center, where an excavated site has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Although the project—closely tied to the aspirations of the city's youth—was contracted to be completed within 540 days, the City Council noted that the lack of physical progress is now a major obstacle to the island's development.

The Kulhudhuffushi City Council has reported receiving numerous complaints from residents regarding the prolonged suspension of work on the city's Technical and Vocational Education Center.
The Kulhudhuffushi City Council has informed RaajjeTV that this project is a completely new initiative launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's administration.
With the youth of Kulhudhuffushi being both talented and industrious, this TVET center represents the project most closely aligned with the aspirations of the city's young population.
The project was officially launched in May last year, marked by a major ceremony held on the island. The foundation stone for the project was also laid during the event.
The prolonged suspension of this project has drawn significant complaints from the residents of Kulhudhuffushi. Locals view the stalemate as a major setback to the city's development, as the initiative was designed to provide essential vocational training and skill development opportunities for the youth.
Kulhudhuffushi City holds the largest population in the northern Maldives. Consequently, residents consider the establishment of a TVET center in the city to be a matter of significant importance.
