The Council stated that when Mayor Adam Azim and several councilors visited the HDC headquarters on Wednesday to seek a resolution, the corporation's Managing Director refused to grant them a meeting.
The Mayor and Council members visited the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) following repeated complaints from residents of the Vinares, FDC, and Hiyaa flats in Hulhumalé. These grievances center on the corporation's alleged negligence in providing essential municipal services to the area.
