MTCC awarded MVR 18.80 million project to develop Thilafushi harbor
Under this project, the deepening of the harbor basin, the construction of a 112-meter quay wall, and the installation of concrete paving are scheduled to be completed within 120 days.

The project to develop the harbor in K. Thilafushi has been awarded to MTCC for MVR 18.80 million.
In a statement released regarding the matter, MTCC announced that it has been contracted to construct a 100-meter quay wall and install concrete pavement in Thilafushi. The project was officially awarded to the company during a ceremony held at Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
The agreement for the project was signed by Managing Director Ahmed Saudi on behalf of MTCC, while CEO Captain Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim signed on behalf of MPL.
Under this project, the scope of work includes dredging the harbor basin and installing 112 meters of sheet piling for the quay wall. The company further disclosed that the project will also involve the installation of 30-ton bollards and the completion of concrete paving works.
The project has been awarded with a completion timeline of 120 days. Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) stated that once the project is finished, it will streamline their operations in Thilafushi and further enhance the quality of services provided.
