As in previous years, Eid al-Adha is being celebrated with great fervor across all parts of the Maldives. This year's festivities have seen vibrant displays of culture and community spirit throughout the islands. In the Greater Male' area, security forces and state-owned enterprises have collaborated to organize a wide array of activities. These events were specifically designed to engage the public, with a particular focus on providing entertainment and joy for children.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and the Maldives Police Service have hosted a children’s festival at Male’s Republic Square and Sultan Park. The event, which took place over the Eid holiday and the subsequent three-day break, featured various games and activities showcased at stalls managed by both the MNDF and the police.
Additionally, security forces and state-owned enterprises collaborated to host children's festivals in two areas of Hulhumalé. While the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and WAMCO conducted activities in the Hiyaa flats neighborhood, several other government companies organized a children's festival featuring a variety of games and entertainment at Hulhumalé Central Park.
Traditional and modern festivities are being held with great enthusiasm across Malé and the islands to celebrate this year's Eid.
