Drugs attempted to be smuggled into Maafushi Prison via drone seized
In a special operation, Maldives Police have seized 395.92 grams of narcotics intended for smuggling into a prison via drone. While no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far, authorities confirmed that an active investigation is currently underway.

Authorities have seized a shipment of narcotics attempted to be smuggled into Maafushi Prison using a drone.
Police stated that the items were seized during an operation conducted at approximately 12:45 a.m. on the night of May 24. The operation was carried out through a joint effort between Maafushi Prison, Maafushi Police Station, and Counter-Narcotics Intelligence.
No arrests have been made in connection with this operation.
Furthermore, police stated that five rubber packets containing substances suspected to be narcotics were seized during the operation.
The provisional weight of these items is 395.92 grams.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
