According to the police, the victim was already deceased by the time he was transported to the Vaadhoo Health Centre following the report of the incident. The deceased has been identified as a 53-year-old Spanish man.
Police reported on Monday that a tourist was involved in a drowning incident after entering the water to surf from a safari vessel anchored near GDh. Vaadhoo. The incident was reported at approximately 12:57 PM on May 18, 2024.
Police stated that according to information received from the health center, the victim was already deceased when brought to the G.Dh. Vaadhoo Health Center following the drowning incident.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
