It has been revealed that police officers investigating the 'Aisha' documentary, published on the social media platforms of the news outlet 'Adhadhu', initially went to the residence of former Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former MDP Chairperson Reeko Moosa Manik before arriving at the Adhadhu office.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Moosa stated that while he was talking with friends near his home last night, a group of police officers—some in uniform and others carrying files—approached him and requested that he open the door to the building. Moosa said that he complied with their request and, upon their entry, inquired about their specific destination within the premises. Moosa further noted that when the officers informed him they were heading to the eighth floor, he clarified to them that the construction of the eighth floor had not yet been completed.
"I asked him what he was trying to do. He asked if this was 'Hazaarumaage'. I told him no, that this is 'Gulhazaaruge' and that 'Hazaarumaage' is located further down," Moosa said.
Moosa stated that a large number of police officers entered the residence at approximately 07:10. On Monday night, police raided the office of the 'Adhadhu' news outlet, seizing property and equipment in connection with the documentary 'Aisha' released on the publication's social media platforms. Following the incident, a motion was submitted to Parliament on Tuesday. However, the motion was rejected.
