Massive recruitment took place in Ihavandhoo in connection with the elections, with nearly 160 employees currently stationed at Fenaka alone, stated President-elect Ali Fawaz
Fawaz stated that the government created numerous jobs within state-owned enterprises to influence the elections held on April 4; however, despite these efforts, the people of Ihavandhoo rejected the government's influence and granted a majority to the MDP. He further noted that this result was a direct consequence of the government's actions in obstructing the island's development and causing difficulties for its residents.

The President-elect of the Ihavandhoo Island Council, Ali Fawaz, has stated that a significant number of individuals were recruited in HA. Ihavandhoo in connection with the three elections held on April 4. He noted that the workforce at Fenaka Corporation in the island has now reached approximately 160 employees.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fashaairu" program, Fawaz stated that the government exerted significant influence over the Local Council Elections, the Women's Development Committee elections, and the referendum held on the 4th of this month. He further alleged that the entire state apparatus was utilized to secure victories in all three votes.
He noted that a significant number of employees were recruited into Fenaka, RDC, and WAMCO. He further stated that Fenaka alone now employs approximately 160 staff members.
Initially, 14 jobs were created at Fenaka. This number continued to rise until approximately 50 people were hired by Fenaka alone in connection with the election. Around 15 employees were also added to RDC, and additional staff were recruited for WAMCO. This is blatant influence. All these forms of pressure were present throughout this election. Furthermore, bribes were distributed. Every available state resource, including Aasandha, was exploited. However, the people have now said no.
Highlighting the widespread public dissatisfaction in Ihavandhoo with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration, Fawaz noted that the government failed to secure a single seat on either the island council or the Women's Development Committee. Instead, the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) maintained a clear majority. He further stated that 75 percent of the island's residents had rejected the government's agenda in the referendum.
Fawaz stated that this is the direct consequence of obstructing the island's development and causing undue hardship to its residents.
