Former Gender Minister Shidhatha Shareef has stated that the public does not wish to return to a state of subjugation and must not allow their power to be seized.
Speaking on RaajjeTV's "Noonekey" program, Shidhatha stated that ensuring a robust democratic environment for future generations is a responsibility of the current leadership and citizens alike. She emphasized that adhering to democratic principles is essential to achieving this goal. Shidhatha further noted that failing to establish such a foundation would constitute a significant failure.
Shidhatha stated that the people do not wish to be subjugated, and that they must not allow their inherent power to be seized from them.
Shidhatha further stated that in such elections, citizens should adopt a national perspective and set aside political ideologies. She added that a referendum is a vote where a decision must be made after such careful consideration.
