The only thing the ruling party has done is hold a nationwide foundation-stone-laying competition where only their leader competes: Didi
Speaking at an MDP rally, Maradhoo MP Ahmed Didi criticized the government for failing to complete any projects despite laying numerous foundation stones, further dismissing claims that local councils are uncooperative as mere excuses for the lack of progress.

The Member of Parliament for the Maradhoo constituency, Ahmed Didi, has stated that the only achievement of the ruling party was organizing a nationwide "foundation-laying competition" where the leader was the sole participant.
Didi made these remarks while speaking at the MDP's "Heyvalla Thayyaaru" rally.
Didi noted that the government laid foundation stones for numerous projects across various locations over the past year. He alleged that these actions were orchestrated by PNC members of Parliament who misled President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. However, Didi stated that as the council elections approached this year, the government found itself unable to face the public because none of those projects had reached completion.
"Sixteen projects were signed, yet not a single person knows what has become of them. Now they claim the Council is not cooperating. They define a lack of cooperation as simply asking questions—questioning how these projects actually benefit the people of Addu," Didi said.
Furthermore, Didi noted that while the PNC urges the public to vote for the "bird" (the party's logo), the ideology of the PNC has been in a constant state of flux. He pointed out that this political identity has shifted from the DRP to the PPM, suggesting that those within this movement lack the cohesion to remain as a single, unified party. He further characterized the PNC’s call to vote for the bird as a mere reactionary tactic, intended to rival the MDP’s traditional appeal for voters to support the "scales" (the MDP logo).
"The reality of this bird is that it arrived on a palm-frond sail and perched on a curved coconut palm. What you see now, having flown in, is the form of a bird. However, since its inception, the symbol of the MDP has been the scales, representing justice and equality," Didi said.
Didi stated that the bird the PNC refers to is one whose wings have been clipped.
