Tragic Fire Incident in Dhigurah: Two Victims Transferred to IGMH Currently on Ventilator Support
Five people have been killed in a devastating fire at a migrant worker residence in Dhigurah, while two others remain in critical condition on ventilator support. Two individuals who sustained severe burn injuries in a dangerous fire incident in ADh. Dhigurah on Thursday night are currently being treated on ventilator support, according to IGMH.
An official from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) informed RaajjeMV that two individuals injured in a serious fire incident in Dhigurah on Thursday night were brought to the hospital for treatment on Friday. Both victims are currently being treated on ventilator support. The official did not provide further details regarding the extent of their burns or any additional information concerning their condition.
While the condition of those two individuals remains critical, five people have lost their lives in this incident.
Regarding the incident, police stated that eight individuals sustained various degrees of injuries following a fire at a foreign worker accommodation block in Dhigurah. All victims have been transported to the Dhigurah Health Center for treatment.
A specialized team from Male' has since arrived in Dhigurah to investigate the incident. The investigative team includes a medical doctor.
Relevant authorities have yet to disclose the cause of this devastating fire.
