The incident occurred at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The man has been identified as a 60-year-old Maldivian.

Regarding the individual's condition, IGMH stated that the patient is currently receiving treatment on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
