Two young men have been arrested for allegedly smuggling over six kilograms of narcotics into the Maldives.
The individuals arrested on October 5 on suspicion of importing and trafficking narcotics into the Maldives have been identified as Ahmed Daan Farhood, 19, of Rathmaage, S. Maradhoo, and Ismail Abaan Abdullah, 25, of Ma. Tharijehiage, Male'.
According to the court orders for the two youths, evidence and supporting documentation have been submitted to substantiate the allegations against them.

The investigating officer stated that the suspected narcotics seized in the operation have a preliminary weight of 6.280 kilograms.
As both individuals have requested legal representation in connection with this case, the court has ordered them to be remanded in custody for a period of five days, pursuant to Article 14 of the Criminal Procedure Regulations.
